In my own experience writing about dance for application purposes (concept writing, project descriptions, artist statements...) I found that at times it is extremely helpful to just sit down with someone and get some direct one-to-one advice.

This is why I offer individual coaching, during which I help artists to write about a specific project they are undertaking. Whether you are just starting to think about a new idea or already have some things written down, I can offer support and guidance.

The formats can vary depending on your needs: we can meet and talk through your idea to help you conceptualize it, you can send me a draft and receive feedback, or I can even do some/all of the writing for you if you feel like this is the best option.

To find out more about my fees and availability, please write me an email. You can find my address on the contact page!

Claire’s coaching has helped me immensely with my application writing. Every time I have been to her workshop or had her one-on-one support I have walked away with new clarity in how to approach writing from a working artists' perspective. Thanks to her, my applications are stronger, more precise, and I feel empowered while writing them. Claire’s coaching has taught me so much; she is an invaluable resource in a world where performing arts schools do not prepare their students for the real world of applying for funding, residencies, and other opportunities.

"Claire Lefèvre writing workshops and one on one help nourished my writing skills tremendously. She understands and knows the semantic/fundamentals of writings funding / residency applications which isn’t taught in most contemporary dance schools education. My dance education did not provide this indispensable knowledge & resources that any freelance dancer, performer need to get involved in the contemporary art scene.
If you had a similar dance education, i definitely recommend updating your skills and learning with Claire. Thanks to her teachings I’ve been rewarded from the BKA start stipendium 2018"
